The Nation grieves in regards to Civil Rights Leader Rev. Jesse Jackson who died at the age of 82
In a long-running campaign, Jackson stood along with MLK in a campaign on behalf of voting rights. Jesse Jackson slammed corporations, and worked together with the leaders of the world.
Jesse Jackson, a longtime ally of Martin Luther King Jr. and founder of the Rainbow PUSH Coalition, was a prominent voice in the U.S. civil rights movement for decades.
Today, we’ll be talking about a mighty civil rights icon who fought with Martin Luther King Jr.
This civil rights icon is named as ‘The Rev. Jesse Jackson’. He negotiated global hostage release
and condemned corporate leaders for their deficiency of diversity and inability to support voting
rights. This iconic civil rights leader passed away at the old age of 84.
Martin Luther King Jr ally Jackson was admitted to a hospital on November 12th. He had
been fighting a prolonged battle with progressive supranuclear paralysis. It is a similar condition
to Parkinson's disease. Mr. Jackson was discharged from the hospital later in the same month.
Our iconic civil rights leader was a Presidential Medal of Freedom recipient. He was also an
active Democratic presidential candidate, and was one of the most well-known Black activists.
"It is with great sadness that we announce Jesse Jackson's death in 2026 and the founder of the
Rainbow PUSH Coalition, The Reverend Jesse Louis Jackson, Sr.," said a statement from the
group. "He passed away peacefully in the early morning on Tuesday in the presence of loved
ones."
Despite the condition that affected his voice and reduced his stride, Jackson had continued to
fight for civil rights and was twice detained in 2021 due to Rev Jesse Jackson's legacy towards
the Senate filibuster law. The same year, he as their spouse Jacqueline were admitted to hospital
with COVID-19 related complications at a Chicago hospital.
